we have made Zoof free for your first 5 files to take a test drive – then you can upgrade to be a power-Zoofer for $2.99/mo or $29.99/year we are excited about our service and look forward to expanding the Zoofer community everywhere.

Steps in DETAILS:

Step 1: Head over to app.zoof.one because this is the first time you hit our site, it will ask you to sign-in, which simply means we need to have an email address to send a one-time code to enter in the boxes that appear on the screen. that code is sent to you as an email.

Step 2: Press the sign-in button, read the instructions, all you have to do is enter an email address that you can access where the code will be emailed.

Step 3: Enter the email address and the page immediately displays the empty boxes, ready for you to enter the code that was mailed to the address you entered.

Step 4: Wait for the email to arrive from Zoof Support with the code clearly displayed in the body of the email. Cut and paste the numbers into the empty boxes on the zoof page, or write them down and enter the numbers one by one.

Step 5: If the numbers are entered correctly, the next thing you will see will be the home page of the zoof web-app

Aside: there are numbers at the top of the screen for total bytes SENT (left) and total bytes RECEIVED (right), there is an area for Active Transfers, in other words the fiile you are currently sending to someone. below that, is Recent Transfers which acts as a running log of the last 10 files you have sent or recieved. The up arrow shows the file was sent out of the device, the down arrow denotes the file was received into the device. If you press the profile icon bottom right, it displays more detailed information as well as your current subscription plan status.

Step 6: press the home icon to take you back to your home screen

Step 7: sending a file is simple. simply press the send icon which will display slightly different things depending on your device. if you are on a laptop, you will be seeing the filemanager and you can use it to navigate and pick the file you wish to send. once you have picked it the file will be “prepared” to send by our helpful cat. Once the “preparations have been completed” you will see the name of the file, its size, the time-stamp, an up arrow, to show it is a file that you are sending OUT of the device, a QR code, if the person you are sending the file to is close by – they can just scan the QR code and if they have already signed in, they will being receiving the file. if they are not signed in they will just follow the sign-in steps we have already covered, once signed in the app will begin the process of receiving the file.

Step 8: The copy button allows you to copy the link to any application, The mail button sends your recipient an email with the link inside for them to press and begin the delivery.

Aside: we have provided you with a really useful dial. It’s a grey circle with a % displayed inside. As your file leaves the device and is delivered to your recipient, at the other end, it will update in real-time so that you are able to see how much of the file has been sent. Your recipient also has a grey circle at their end and it updates in realtime to show how much of the file has been delivered to them. Dont forget this is a delivery service so you are seeing the file leave your device and get delivered directly to your receiving device without a cloud in between. FAST, DIRECT, PRIVATE, NO-COMPRESSION (so we don’t mess with it), NOTHING TO INSTALL. that means that you are not limited to any file format. you can send anything you like.

At your end, you are done. nothing else to do but to remember some things in this first release of our service. You need to have both your device and that of your recipient running and online at the same time. For mobile devices that means keeping the window alive and not letting it go to sleep. If you send from a laptop its easier because you can just leave the tab run in background and you can forget about it. For mobile devices they get more zealous and lock down due to all the security issues so a bit harder to keep an app alive.

Step 9: No one needs to install any software.

Step 10: when the two devices discover each other on the internet, the delivery begins immediately directly between the two devices automatically. the two progress circles will begin to fill in. When it has filled in and displays 100% your file is sent/delivered depending on what end of the process you are.

Step 11: On a mobile device, press the save button at the bottom of the screen and you will see a popup to “begin download” which is the system’s way of saying it is moving the file from a temporary holding area into the permanent filesystem of the mobile device. if you are saving on a laptop (mac or pc) it will automatically saves the file into your download directory. it wont ask you it just places the file there for you.
