Steps for Receiving:
Locate the link sent to you by the sender and either
- Just click the link
or
- open the App
- Press the Receive button on the home page
- Insert the link into the popup
A messagae will then present:
Oliver or whoever has sent you a file, named “filename” and is “X bytes” in size, would you like to receive it? Yes ot No?
If you do not recognize the person you can press NO and it terminates the delivery
If you press Yes, the system will begin to connect you to the sender directly, once that connection has been established the progress ring begins to fill in and the delivery has begun.
Keep the window open until 100% of the file has been delivered.
You will see a popup asking if you would like to save the file. Yes will save the file to downloads directory if you are receiving on a laptop.
On mobile devices a popup asking if you would like to save the file will initiate a transfer from temporary memory to the main filesystem. on iPhone’s the file will be moved to your download directory. On Android it will be placed in the download directory or the last directory you saved any file into.
IF YOU ARE CLOSE TO THE SENDER – in the same room and wish to receive a file from them, simply scan the qr code between mobile devices. If you have already signed-in to the receiving device, the delivery will begin immediately.
the data will not be sent to any 3rd party, cloud, or any site other than being sent directly between both sender and receiver.
